Job Description

As a Sales Manager – Agrochemicals handling the European Markets your responsibilities include the following

  • Meeting the Sales Targets in the defined market and taking ownership for entire sales lifecycle – from Leads to Closure for the Company’s Agrochemical and Crop Protection Chemicals
  • Determine critical success factors for new client acquisition, negotiate and close business to ensure that Sales Targets are achieved
  • Managing the company’s key accounts and mining the accounts for growth – including cross sell and up sell
  • Manage the preparation of the budgets, reports, forecasts and performance and ensure they are presented in a timely manner
  • Ensure the continued development of the Company’s client base by actively managing the expansion of products into new markets in line with the company’s ambitions
  • Ensure that regular and relevant communication is made with potential clients across each of the markets in which the Company provides its products
  • Follow – up with customers for enquires, quotes, payments.
  • Communicate with export related authorities, and customers and suppliers in all relevant territories and countries
  • Accurately prepare and convey all operational and financial data to the Senior Management
  • Consistent evaluation of market conditions and trends in the International market
  • Direct efforts in implementing international sales and marketing plans to maximize profitability
  • Communicate on regular basis with the management and ensure that areas of concern are addressed promptly and thoroughly

Desired Candidate Profile

  • BE / MBA with 5 to 8 years of experience in International Sales for Agrochemicals or Crop Protection Chemicals in the European Countries like, Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Minsk , Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal , Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom etc.
  • Have sound knowledge of agrochemicals
  • Must be self-driven and proactive – should be able to own deliverables and commitments and need minimal supervision.
  • Must have high levels of integrity and should be the kind who builds trust based relationships with prospects and customers
  • Must have good knowledge of competitor products and services
  • Must bring solid sales skills – opportunity creation, negotiation and closure, objection handling, etc. and familiarity in managing Sales funnel and pipeline
  • Must have the stature and confidence to interact directly with CXO’s (CEO, COO, CFO and CPO in particular) and build trust and confidence with them.
  • Should be conversant with Custom, Excise, Octroi Rules and Regulation in the area of export clearances, liaison with DGFT, Banks, Customs, Central Excise, Export Promotion councils, Inspection Agencies, Embassies/ Consulates, CHA’s, Shipping Companies, ECGC, Export Documentation and Clearances
